Starting FEBRUARY 6, 2019: GRIEFSHARE a weekly support group to help after losing a loved one. Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church led by Beverly Burton. For more information, contact Beverly at beverly@bburton.net .  

MARCH 20-21, 2019 (Wed. 2 p.m. to Thurs. 1 p.m.)WRITING TOWARD HEALING Overnight Retreat at Well of Mercy, Hamptonville, NC. For registration information, see this link . Writing Toward Healing is offered by Carol Henderson for adults experiencing loss: of a loved one, a way of life, one’s health, a job or any other loss. Through writing in response to carefully selected prompts in this safe environment, we will gently reflect, remember and reconsider.

MARCH and APRIL 2019: Lenten Writing sessions at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC led by Julie Hester. See Julie’s “Writing in Company” blog  for specific dates and for more information about Writing in Company workshops. Julie, one of the Farther Along writers, has been trained and certified to lead writing workshops using the Amherst Writers and Artists method.

JUNE 10, JULY 8, AUGUST 12, SEPTEMBER 9, 2019: WRITING THROUGH GRIEF. Second Mondays at Trellis Supportive Care (formerly Winston-Salem Hospice & Palliative CareCenter), 9:30 – noon. You do not have to consider yourself a writer to attend.The workshops are not sequential; you may attend one or all. Call 336-768-6157, ext. 1600 to register.
