The following Haiku poems were written in response to a reading by Carol Henderson at a recent writing retreat. The reading focused on two questions by Howard Thurman, theologian and Harvard professor, including “Where am I going?” and “Who will go with me”? I focused on the quote “Where am I going?”
Where am I going?
In the direction forward
Answering the call.
Step outside the shell
Move with grace and certainty
Towards my call in life.
Peace, love, joy and hope
Virtues to help guide me to
Fulfill my calling.

Love these, Monica. And to think you had that stinking sinus infection when you wrote them. You are something!
