Spirituality, to me, is a belief in someone/something larger than myself, a belief system that lifts me up and pushes me forward like an earth moving machine. It is more than a daily recitation of prayers, it is deeper than the center of the earth.

Spirituality is not visible, it has no font. It is the light that emerges from my sense of being.   Spirituality reminds me of a wickless candle that burns incessantly. No coins need to be deposited in the church collection box to light a single flame.

My simple prayer “haiku style”:

I pray that this day

Brings us closer to believe

Our spirit lives on
